Calling 1000 Churches in Houston to Pray Together for this Great City
Calling the church of Houston to pray together is about asking God to move in our city. What would happen if 1000 of the more than 4000 congregations in Houston would gather to lift their voice in prayer together.
A Monthly Prayer Meeting in Your Church Connected to Other Churches in the City
Our goal is to serve the citywide prayer movement by connecting churches with technology to coordinate prayer all over the city one time per month. City prayer leaders and pastors will lead the meeting at Grace and send a technology connection to your church. Some churches may have 40, some may have 100 and others may have several hundred or thousands – added together there will be multiplied thousands of Christians from all denominations and backgrounds praying together at the same time for God to make a difference in this great city.
A Yearly Citywide Prayer Gathering Filling One of the City’s Largest Stadiums
We are pursuing the plan to fill one of cities large stadiums on one night calling churches all over Houston and the surrounding area to gather in prayer for the city. Imagine a capacity crowd in one of Houston’s stadiums together praying for God to make a difference in the city.
"We want to recruit and coordinate 1000 churches in our city that will join together once a month through media technology where every congregation prays in their building with the meeting being led from the south campus by city prayer leaders and pastors," stated Brian Gowan, former chaplain at Methodist Hospital and staff member at Mission Houston for the last 9 years. He has recently joined the Make Your Mark movement to oversee this area of development.
